Do you provide free estimates?
OUR INITIAL CONSULTATION IS FREE OF CHARGE! We can meet at your home or in our office, where we’ll discuss your needs and project renovation desires. We’ll examine various possibilities based on your specific situation. From this initial consultation, we can usually provide you with a general estimate.
How does your design/build process work?
All of our design/build projects are carefully created, planned, and constructed through our integrated design/build process. First, we ask our clients to assess and explain to us their individual wants and needs for their remodeling project. Next, we focus on the details that are to be incorporated into the project design. Based on Client input, we create preliminary computer–generated conceptual drawings. Then we’ll review together to make any necessary revisions to the preliminary designs, to ensure the project meets or exceeds the Client’s needs. This allows us to provide a computer-generated printed proposal with detailed specifications. Once the proposal is accepted, we develop a detailed construction calendar. Before we actually start construction on each project, our Clients know EXACTLY what is included in the remodeling project, how much investment will be required, and how long it will take to complete. Once construction starts, we promise to do whatever it takes to provide a top–quality remodeling project, completed on time to meet or beat our GUARANTEED COMPLETION DATE!
Will I be able to select the actual products for my project?
Yes. Our INTERIOR DESIGN TEAM will assist you in selecting all products like doors, hardware, trim, windows, siding, plumbing and electrical fixtures, flooring, paint colors, specialty items, etc. These are chosen to closely match the existing items in your home or specific design tastes. We’ll provide a special worksheet and checklist to identify all of the products that need to be selected by you.
How can I be sure I will get a quality job at a fair price?
Design Build Remodeling Group of Maryland has developed an impeccable reputation for our professionalism, our communication skills, our relationships with suppliers and trades people, and our quality work. What’s more, we provide up to a 2-year warranty as well as our GUARANTEED COMPLETION DATES! We promise to provide a top-quality project, delivered on schedule, at a fair price.
Do you guarantee your prices?
Our contract price is guaranteed as long as the scope of work and specifications don’t change. Design Build Remodeling Group of Maryland provides very detailed proposals so you’ll know exactly what is included and what isn’t.
Should I anticipate any costs beyond the contract price?
It’s important to note that Design Build Remodeling Group of Maryland will not charge more than the original contract price unless we do additional work or incur additional costs beyond what is stated in our contracts. Given our level of experience, we typically can anticipate any potential problems that may arise… problems often overlooked by other contractors. Should a client ask for a “change order,” such as a product upgrade, or additional work to be performed, then additional fees will apply. Also, unforeseen conditions like underground obstacles, decayed framing, hidden ductwork, pipes or wires, etc. may require additional charges. Likewise, if a “change order” results in a credit, money will then be issued back to the client.
How do you handle “Change Orders”?
Any work that will create an additional charge will be performed only after a written Change Order has been authorized by the client. Unlike many contractors, we don’t wait until the end of a project to spring a surprise “extras” bill on our clients. We stay on top of extras and credits on a weekly basis, if need be, so the client is always aware of where they stand as far as costs.
Once you start my job will you stay until it’s finished?
We do absolutely everything possible to keep your project moving along quickly. We never take on more projects than we can handle at any given time and, therefore, our projects rarely sit idle. If there is work that can be done on a given day, someone will be there working.
How will you control dust and handle any mess associated with my job?
We’re very sensitive about project neatness and cleanliness. We want a clean, neat, and safe jobsite, both inside and out. We’ll implement interior dust control measures and strive to remain very vigilant throughout the project. Although remodeling can be, and often is, very dusty and dirty, we take many precautions to minimize the inconveniences to our clients that a remodeling project often brings.
Should I consider moving out of my house during the remodel?
Most of our projects are completed while our clients occupy their homes. Remodeling can be a little inconvenient and messy, especially when it comes to interior living spaces like kitchens and bathrooms. Our clients find our team of mature craftsmen and professional tradesmen to be very courteous, conscientious and accommodating. But, if your project is extensive, it may become more practical for you to temporarily move out. We can discuss your specific situation prior to scheduling your project.
Are the members of your team friendly, competent workers?
All of our team members are professional, enjoyable people with very friendly personalities – all of whom you’ll gladly welcome into your home. In fact, we’ve been asked several times how we’ve managed to find such a good group of people! We’ve even been told by numerous clients that they will “miss us when we’re gone.” Just ask any of our references and they’ll gladly confirm this!
Do you guarantee your work?
All of the work we do is guaranteed for a full 2 years! We strive for perfection. However, if ever any defects were to appear that are found to be caused by a mistake in our workmanship, we’ll come back promptly to make the necessary repair! We also offer 5-year warranties – just ask for details.
